Free rhino plugins for rendering6/20/2023 ![]() Right now the plugin for R6 is a bit of a mess but to me it's worth it. Lots of clicking but the more you use it the more good resources you'll have ready for next render. Negatives are that the plugin is not very intuitive or well made. This is quite personal on what you prefer but I think Octane just kills Vray.Ībout the same complexity although Octane is much easier to get great shots with. I've used Maxwell, Vray and now I use Keyshot and Octane. but you need to really put the time in to learn the features. They also have a fair amount of drag and drop materials and a live rendering update, those features are reacting to some of Keyshots features. ![]() ![]() The big plus is that their rendering frame buffer window has all the image correction settings built in, essentially eliminating the need to post-process in Photoshop. VRay is extremely powerful, but has a bit of a learning curve in order to get the slick images you’ll see in the Chaosgroup’s gallery. However, most users post-process their final images in Photoshop to punch up the details. It also has advanced settings for pro-users to create photo-realistic images. getting a solid rendering with little effort. Within minutes you can drag and drop pre-defined materials and environment settings. Keyshot is very beginner friendly and can quickly get advanced for pro-users.
